Che Fico Alimentari - San Andreas

What a lovely surprise. Absolutely incredible food (porchetta…yum! and wonderful service.

As always, the food was great. And, as always, the hostesses both upstairs and downstairs were rude. Our party of 4 went upstairs for a drink 30 minutes before our reservation started downstairs, and despite there being MANY open stools by the bar, we were told we had to stand (we are in our 50s and tired). No surprise — it happens every time I’m there. Then, downstairs, per usual, we were warned that our table would expire in 90 minutes and then asked if “all the party is here” before being seated. In the past, when my husband has been parking the car, I have had to stand awkwardly at the door. Our server was fine; our bill was large and, as always, incorporated a 10% “cost of doing business fee” that I would be happy to pay if the service were gracious and not like something you’d find at a cheesy restaurant in Disney World. This restaurant costs too much for that. Enough with the attitude! When did your staff become more important than your guests?

Pizza was amazing. Porchetta was really good, but not as good as my first time there.

Terrific food. Great waitress. Lovely wind. But $195 for a burrata appetizer, a green salad w chickpeas salami, rigatoni w guanciale split between two people. We did have a $56 wine bill, but still. It’s too expensive. And we were at the deli not the restaurant!

This place was recommended, and didn’t disappoint. Pasta so fresh, pizza was Italian style, and the wine was a perfect complement. Server was on top of it, never felt rushed. Look forward to a return visit.
