This place is at Sameons 1600 right by the nursery slopes so is convenient if you are with beginners. The food was good at prices that you'd expect to pay in the alps. Service was friendly and they have a big terrace whihc is handy...when the sun is out. This isn't the best food available in Grand Massif but good enough none the less.
Dropped in here a couple of times in the past week for lunch, drinks and so on as one of our party was a beginner. Despite the big Carte Bleu sign on the door as you enter the bar ONLY takes cash. You're not allowed...upstairs by some moron member of staff if you have only bought your drinks: you need to buy your food AND your drinks before you are allowed to go up there. The food is terrible, queue moves very slowly and they are operating under the belief that most people have no choice. This is a bad business model. There are some wonderful restaurants on the mountains here: if you can ski out of the debutantes area, go find one of the others and don't spend any money here. In a worst case scenario go back down the lift and eat at Tiffany's/
A great place to start or finish the morning in samoëns coffee and drink a beer after a great ski day. great terrace with late afternoon sun.
Simple food that we did eat as it caters to a particular market The welcome is very genuine and the owner is friendly and helpful.. the drinks were good but little expensive hence the 4 not 5 Stars.. Very clean and helpful so out of...the options in the 1600 area would recommend it more then Lou Caboens every time
