Samford Seafood - SAMFORD VILLAGE

Checked this place out after reading the obvious bogus reviews, the selling of alcohol to kids was the kicker. Nice little joint, best chips I ever had, fish and salad spot on, staff friendly and nice atmosphere. We chilled here for while, had some beers on tap and enjoyed the music, not sure where the other reviewers were?

Worst, soggiest chips i have ever received at a apparent fish and chippery. Lots of better places to choose in samford. Staff extremely rude and unhelpful also.

Super expensive for poor quality.. Salad consisted of some 4 day old soggy lettuce, some un cut cherry tomatoes and slimey red onion, thats IT! Was expecting more after the 45min wait. Some lady tried to explain they had run out of produce and normally is better, then started to abuse us for questioning her! CRAZY!! Also witnessed her selling a few beers to some kids on push bikes! SO unprofessional

The fish was coral trout and it was lovely. The staff were good too. However, $57 for 2 bits of fish, 2 potato scallops, small chips (luke warm), a cider and small glass of wine was a bit steep. Then there was a 50 min wait. All in all, ok but will drive a bit further if I have to wait that long and still pay 57 slides. Dont mind paying if you get the goods and service.

We stopped in here today on our way to Mt Glorious.. we had a wonderful lunch of Battered Hake and beer battered chips.. which might I say was absolutely amazing..followed by a gelato.. oh wow first time ever having gelato.. yum yum .. had a bit of a chat with the owner who also happened to serve us .. the service was wonderful your cheery helpful personality when I was asking about things was just so warming . you made our day .. thank you so much for the wonderful food and service .. we will be back again on another adventure sometime soon .. the service you provided is a service you dont see or get every day .. cheers Kev and Karen
