Thai Ra We - Samford Valley

I didn't feel like cooking on Saturday night, so I decided to try some Thai food. I am selective when it comes to Thai cuisine, so I was hesitant to try a new restaurant. Thai Rae We appeared to be a typical Thai restaurant, but it turned out to be a hidden gem. I highly recommend the won ton soup, it was amazing!

I had been eager to try out this local Thai takeout place, as I was craving a good curry fix. Overall, my experience was pleasant and I would consider returning on a lazy weeknight when I don't feel like cooking. However, compared to a flawless meal at Red Chilli Thai in Bargara, this place didn't quite live up to my expectations. The food was fresh and flavorful, but the balance of flavors in the curries was off - some were too sweet, while others were too sour. While the portion sizes were not particularly large, the prices were reasonable and my family of four left satisfied after spending $67 (which included 2 curries, rice, and 2 appetizers).

This hidden gem in north Brisbane is a must-try. The authentic Thai cuisine is the best I've ever had, and at a great price. I absolutely love it and enjoy supporting local family-owned businesses!

Divine. I've had takeaway from Thai Ra We a couple of times now and am trying to sample all of their dishes to have a feel for what they are good at. Behind the simple takeaway shop front is some of the most delicious subtle Thai food in the take away wasteland that is Ferny Grove/Keperra. Most Thai food is in your face full of strong flavours. The entree's are hot, fresh and tasty and the curries are delicious, but the winners are the soups. The pork wonton soup is AMAZING. The wontons are kept in a separate container until you are ready to add them. They are perfect bite size morsels of pork encased in soft wonton wrappers and added to the broth that is so tasty, so subtly flavoured that each spoonful will have you guessing, what gives it that unique taste. BEAUTIFUL. Try it you won't be disappointed. Will be back for sure and have even found my comfort food.
