Humpty's Family - Saltcoats No.

Got the eggs benedict, and it was nothing more then I could make at home. Lunch meat on a English muffin, egg and a very bland sauce.. Got my 11 month old some pancakes and they were half raw. Service was friendly. But I wouldn't rush back.

I've always loved Humptys, been going there intermittently for 30 years, but this past visit was not good sadly. Food good as always, but service was not good. I hope they were just having an off day. Was not busy, but waited a long time to be seated, then waited 15 minutes before a waitress came over, even though there were waitresses just wiping tables. Just not a good vibe. Hoping the girls were just having an off day. Food was good as always though. Just maybe untrained new waitresses? This was in the evening. Went for breakfast, definitely 5 stars, the waitress was fabulous!

My eggs were like paper scraped from the edge of the grille....toast was cold and rock hard....potatoes were ok but not as ordered.....will not return.....

Additionally, it appears that the waitstaff also handle the cooking, leading to inefficiencies in service. Unfortunately, my order was not prepared as requested, and when I asked for a remake due to my allergies, they simply removed the allergenic items from my plate instead of preparing a new dish. This did not resolve the issue, as it was clear the food was contaminated, evidenced by the marks on the bun. The waiter did apologize and offered a 10% discount, but I still ended up paying $20 for something that made me sick. No thank you!

I had one of the worst experiences I’ve had in a long time. We were seated quickly, but after twenty minutes of waiting, I had to ask a different server to assist us. Meanwhile, our original server was busy sharing her life story with the table behind us instead of taking our drink orders. When the other server finally brought us our drinks, our original server came over, and we expressed that she had taken too long and requested a different server. Her response was that good customer service is what she would strive for. I will never return to this place and will make sure to tell everyone I know about my experience.
