Ashtorre Rock - Saltash

I discovered this fantastic location with no parking issues—what a rarity in Cornwall! It's quite refreshing to find a spot in this beautiful region where parking fees aren't a hassle. Take a stroll down to the Ashtorre Rock charity center and enjoy a relaxing coffee or tea, along with delicious muffins and cakes. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff are very friendly. I highly recommend it!

I wanted to see the exhibition on Lenkiewicz, and it was quite fascinating. Next time, I plan to take a walk to capture photos of the artwork on the walls and enjoy a coffee. I personally think the tables could be moved away from the walls to create a more intimate atmosphere with the pictures. It felt a bit lifeless, although that might be the case everywhere since there are still some restrictions in place. However, the people I met during my visit were very friendly, and I really enjoyed the hot chocolate.

Shhhh! Don't tell anyone, but this place is incredible. It's run by volunteers, so don’t expect too much from their offerings. They serve simple tea and coffee, along with some delicious treats, but the real draw is the atmosphere. The seating area is a dream come true, overlooking the Tamar River with the trains crossing the Royal Albert Bridge above you. It's a perfect spot to soak up the sun—there's usually no wind to disturb your peace on the benches. As I said, keep this a secret between us!
