Burger Bar 537 - Salt Spring Island

The burgers looked great, which is why I wanted to eat here. I could see them being served as we walked by and they looked so fantastic. But.... meh. They really weren't anything special. Under seasoned. Bland. Not "bad", per se... but nothing great. I would have given it at least one or probably two more stars if it weren't for the service, which was inattentive to say the least. At the very beginning I asked the waitress for the wifi password and she seemed annoyed and said she'd write it down. That never came. My water never got refilled by her either (though another waitress saw I was out and grabbed me some). I so very rarely walk out of a place without leaving any tip, but this was one of those occasions where I felt nobody really deserved it.Over priced, under delivered.

Came with family of 6 was sat right away. Food came quickly after we ordered and it was really good. The owner even came out to make sure it all tasted good. Right on the water with a nice view.

This is a little burger place that turns out to be part of a larger restaurant empire. Didn't realize that until bill came, and perhaps it matters not. Local products used, good burgers of different sorts, great onion rings, okay salads. Pricey (it seemed to me) for what you get, but if you're wanting burger/fries and are thinking of vacation prices, it's a good choice. Salads so-so.

Meh Really nice location is what got our attention Seeing the burgers being served to others made out decision, because they looked great.
