Soouu has disappointed. I have a date after running over the delicious sushi and calamari. to my contempt the kalamari were tiny and overcooked and there were balls of doughie massmeal without kalamari in them at all. what a mistake! we had two rolls that were absolutely delicious. the waiter, another guy. he was not attentive and would only come to the table to push us and try to push more food on us. “That’s all they order” “Why not they get a different role” “they are more and more food” “You should be a dessert”
The restaurant was pretty pricey but was also worth the price given that it is in Salt Lake City. I would say the restaurant is relatively authentic Japanese with relatively high end food. My favorite was the toro and the sable fish nigiri, they cost a lot but we’re good enough that I got multiple servings of it. If this was in Japan or even New York I probably would not go back but given it’s in slc I’d say give it a 5/5 stars
I haven't been to too many sushi places, but my friends insisted on going here because everything is great I was a bit skeptical at first as I do not enjoy fish, but they had tons of other options too! Their Miso soup was great, but their Azekura was just next level!! I would definitely love to come back and try some of their other dishes too!
Fresh, delicious and unique food with great service!
