Shalimar Indian Diner Supermarket

Shalimar is a great place for Indian cuisine, and it also shares a space with an Indian grocery store. I visited recently to sample their menu and ordered a samosa, goat curry, lamb biryani, and garlic naan. The samosa was delicious and came with tangy tamarind and spicy green chili sauces. The lamb biryani was quite enjoyable, especially if you're a fan of rice dishes. The goat curry was flavorful and complemented the garlic naan perfectly, which looked appetizing as well. Don’t forget to request your naan with butter—it makes a difference! I highly recommend this spot if you're craving Indian food.

We stopped by for a quick meal. The atmosphere isn’t particularly romantic, so it might not be the best choice for a first date. However, if you're in a solid relationship and craving delicious Indian cuisine, this is definitely the spot for you. We look forward to coming back to try more of their flavors. They also offer takeout.

My wife and I moved to Bethany Beach full time in July. We were in Loudoun County and surrounded by great ethic restaurants. Since moving we have been searching for decent Indian food. If you really enjoy authentic Indian cuisine you will love this place. Its not fancy but it is hands down the best Indian food we have had in this area. Everything is homemade and made to order. We ordered Samosa as an appetizer and knew as soon as we took the first bite that we found our place .

A small place lacking the traditional atmosphere but wow the food is fantastic. I wouldn’t change a thing. It’s oddly perfect. Try the mango lassi. And if you are a regular he tells you about the special ingredients he has just received like ghost peppers. I was too chicken to try that but it’s spicy enough when I order medium.
