Mama Lupitas - Salinas

This is a wonderful spot for breakfast. The staff is friendly and professional, and I really enjoyed the menudo, especially the handmade corn tortillas. The location is conveniently near downtown, which I appreciated. The restaurant was busy, which is always a good sign. Everything was clean and well-sanitized. The two young boys working there were very helpful and organized. I will definitely be returning—thank you!

This is genuinely one of the best hidden gems I've ever found. I won’t get into the details, but I strongly recommend trying their food. If you go in the morning, definitely order the breakfast burrito. It's undoubtedly the best one I've ever had when you consider the quality, quantity, and price. Plus, they provide complimentary chips and salsa with your order, which is a rarity. Enjoy your meal and be sure to spread the word to your friends!

Love it every time I go here! My family chooses this place over all other options after a family get together. It's a small kitchen, so if you have a big group, expect a bit of a wait. It's worth it!

We came and stayed in Salinas since we attended California Roots Festival. My husband had been craving chillaquiles all weekend. So this morning we came a cross this cute lil Mexican restaurant called. Mama Lupitas. The food is absolutely amazing!! It made my husband want to move here lol we're from Washington! The service was also amazing we will definitely be back in the future for future California Roots Festivals!!
