Don Carlo - SALERNO

It’s only 7 min walk from Santa Teresa beach and you will not regret that walk. The food was delicious, well cooked and the environment was very cosy. They have a menu based on the cucine of Salerno with fresh fish, but also some plates without! Finally they also have a pizzeria with great pizzas, so there is something for everyone! Furthermore the cake was pretty good too. We payed around 45 euros for wine, water, 2 antipasti (mussels and ham with mozzarella) 2 primi (spaghetti with clams and gnocchi alla Sorrentina) and a cake to share, as we were pretty full! All plates were big and tasted very good. Forgot to take pictures of the antipasti and primi. Recommend this place, it’s is worth it!

I use to live in Naples and I always look for Lady Pizza! Here I found a real good one, tiny and soft as Neapolitan Pizza is. Not heavy at all for my delicate stomac. The landlord explained me that they use what they call lievito madre , a special kind of yeast and let the pizza incubate for 48hours. This make the pizza and the Panuozzo delicious... they use also very good ingredients and there are several tastes that you can ask for. My pizza was compose from tho layer of pizza and between them grilled vegetables,sausage and a special kind of smoked mozzarella cheese called provola ... I feel that I need another slice of that pizza right now! P.S. we also had very good fried staff made with vegetables and fish. Usually I don 't like fried fish but the taste of the one that I had in this restaurant was very mild. I really recommend this place if you are around also because there is a very close parking are that make easier to go there and relax having a real Lady Pizza!

I spent my 50th birthday in Don Carlo after being given a tip from a local and I was not disappointed!! The food was absolutely outstanding and everyone was extremely helpful!! We all had a fantastic evening and the bill was surprisingly low! It is certainly worth the effort to go to the habour area!

We went to Don Carlo's on Mother's day. The food was good and well served, the staff kind but extremely slow. Many people left after the first course. The owner tried to apologize but 4/5 hours for an ordinary meal is really too much even for patient and tolerant people like us
