Cicirinella - SALERNO

Hidden gem in old Town Salerno. Great service, friendly staff, great food. The restarante is small so reservations are highly recommended.

Perhaps something has changed, but our experience did not live up to the expectations set by the restaurant reviews. The food presentation was good. The wait staff were nice but harried. The house starter had an interesting soup and the croquette was absolutely delicious but the other two items were so-so. The main dishes were well-prepared and nicely presented but bland: the sea bass had good texture but was otherwise unremarkable; the mussels with lime and pepper had neither lime nor pepper. We were disappointed that there was no wine menu, only a choice of white, red, or rose. We thought perhaps the restaurant had changed management or ownership. We were seated outside and there was a man hanging about who was smoking continuously. We didn’t realize he was associated with the restaurant until he started interacting with patrons and giving loud instruction to the staff. Grateful that we escaped his attention. We will not be back.

This is the most amazing pasta I’ve had in Italy. This restaurant was a recommendation from a local and boy did it not disappoint. The waiter was so lovely to me as I was solo. I even dreamt about the pasta that night! I wish I could eat here every night!!!

Really an exciting experience. very exceptional quality food, staff prepared and available. location, particularly internal, suggestive and characteristic of the historic center of salerno.

Friendly, friendly and professional staff. delicious dishes, especially meat that was amazing. perfect price quality ratio. I'll be back more than willingly.
