The Penguin Club - Salem

This was once a nice piece of land in the city of Salem/Rke. Co. There was a nice clubhouse w/ a nice pool country for the child to play... It was a club for families to enjoy all year round, especially during the summer months. The clubhouse burned years ago everything left was the massive stone fireplace from the club itself an empty pool. We discovered it in the early 80s to come here to enjoy the land. At some point a house, Gracey's the surrounding lot that supports up to the possession of the Penguin Club also burned. The house had the whole memory of a family who lived in it... This was about 84' The Penguin Club had already burned down. It used to be so beautiful up here, full of deer the occasional fox, calm sera so close to I81... If you're going up there, you'd never know that the land was devastated by two fires, once a peaceful place... It is now filled with houses side by side Gracey 's is just a memory....

All I have to say about this place is that apparently there are people here who think we're doing something we shouldn't do. Dollar beer, cheaper alcohol and the cold shoulder of the locals... What else could you ask? Stop for a big TV and a nice welcome in Salem.
