Carters Bbq - Salem

Stopped in for first visit. Parking can be a bit of a challenge since its a downtown restaurant. Door is on side of busing not in front as you would suspect. Restaurant nice and clean. Server was friendly. Food was really good. I had slaw, mac m cheese and brisket. The only complaint was it was a bit pricey but food was really good. Will return.

The place was nice food was just OK I expected barbeque would be more tasty. I was dissappointed.

To be perfectly honest, it isn't great, but it isn't bad either. It's pretty standard with the average barbeque place in the area. If you're really into bourbon, which I'm not, then their bourbon selection may set them a step up for you from the other places around.

When our mother-in-law came to visit, we thought we'd check out this new place. The food and selection was great, and the portions are large. We had to bring some home. We'll be back!
