Applebee's Grill - Salem

Stop eating in Applebee for a bite and saw a drink on a special menu called Strawberry Merry Swirl. Asked the bartender, Bridget G., for one and MAN! It's okay! She repaired my husband as he liked it and the strawberry Merry Swirl was so good!! Totally rewarding and she was friendly and efficient as well. Stop and get one and Bridget as a server. You will not regret it!!

I meet this connection regularly. But because of all the crazy $g!t over restaurants that have a hard time to keep a full staff, the demon of people was working down something you could expect, and things moved a liter on the slow side. We are all very aware that virtually all restaurant run short and underoccupied, so if you decide to eat, you should be prepared already, longer waiting times and slow service. Nothing should come as a surprise and make you loose. The food was good as always, this is the most important thing if you put your hard earned cash for a meal.

That was the best food we had in days! Even better, the crew members were so nice and we enjoyed their company and laughter. We will definitely be back when in Salem Va

I enjoyed my evening at Applebee's! It wasn't too packed on the day I went, which it was easy to get in quickly to be seated. Our server was very nice and checked on us to make sure we were settled. My meal was great! Highly recommend the Fiesta Lime Chicken!!

I want to first thank our server Jason who was great. He anticipated our needs and kept a close check up on us at all times. His service alone warranted a 5 star rating. I had a classic bacon cheeseburger with fries. I remember a time when food was so much better at Applebee’s. My burger came out and was as I had ordered and fries, though unsalted, we good. Not great. Serving was smaller than I remembered. My son opted for cheese sticks standard US Food service truck line item. My wife had the Bourbon street chicken and mashed potatoes looked okay. The shrimp that came with it were cold seasoning was sufficient. It was correctly served and server was great but food was “meh.” I’m not sure what happened to the WOW that Applebee’s once had but it seems to have died hard. I left feeling cheated knowing they were my favorite place to eat at one time. But its not a location problem its a brand problem. I sincerely hope they find their soul and passion again soon.
