Always delicious, with a friendly atmosphere. We never miss the Saturday pancakes and the M 'sian Beef Rendang is the best in town. Selalu lezat dengan suasana memang kawan. Kami menikmati pancake setiap Sabtu pagi dan juga M 'sian Beef Rendang adalah paling enak di Salatiga.

Great food and super friendly staff. If you’re in Salatiga, you absolutely MUST stop in for a meal at Kawan Kitchen.

KAWAN KITCHEN is delish! they offer a variety of dishes with a good portion, the place is owned by a family that used to live in Salatiga some time back they are half dutch and half Chinese Malay and you can see the influence in their food, they also offer delivery which is quite nice. Their Chinese food is quit savory and their Indian is not the 100% Indian taste but its not far from it, If I can recommend a dish, it would be the cashew chicken..mwuah! Kawan is always a choice among family but they have one flaw... If you go, expect good food, and a good portion but the wait may be more than 45 minutes at times.

I visited here several times in the last month and we are always warmly welcomed and treated as friends. eating is beautiful and the drinks refreshing. (mango sticky rice below!) highly recommended.
