We were the only guest and they had to call the staff from the street. We ordered the simplest, a hamburger. The waitress came to ask what kind of sauce we wanted from a choice of two and came back with a very small part of the mustard sauce. The Hamburger came some time later and looked good at the first glance. But when we took our first bite, we lubricated an old bunk, an old bacon and a thick hamburger with a strange taste. For us, this was the worst Hamburger ever.
Since there is not a tourist hotspot Salamina has few restaurants, almost all serve cheap typical Colombian cuisine. We had the menú del dia at dinner, which actually offers a selection of meat, plus soup, salad, rice and a selection of beans or spaghetti, plus a selection of juices. 7,500 Pesos, each about $2,50 at current exchange rates. I had grilled pork (cerdo) while my companion had chicken Milanese (a baked fillet). Fill, not fine food, but satisfying if you keep your expectations moderate. Our waitress was patient with our questions and indecision. The food came fast. Location on the main square is a plus.
