Le Bistrot De Louis - Sainte-Maxime

We were in Saint-Maxime for the day today. We looked at several places for lunch and finally decided on this place for lunch. We were so glad we did. We were struggling a little to understand the menu but the staff were very patient with us and guided us through it. The place was lovely, the staff so friendly, even offering out dog some water. We decided not to have starters. My son had the tuna dish. He loved it and said that the tuna was cooked to perfection and not over cooked. My husband had the beef dish with parsnips. He was very impressed with the taste and that it was also cooked to medium as he requested. I had the casserole with langoustines, with vegetables and a saffron cream sauce. It was delicious. My husband had the chocolate fondant for dessert and I had the blueberry tart. Both again were perfect and so delicious. We have been in the South of France now for 2 weeks and had some lovely meals. However, we decided that our lunch today was our favourite so far. We all agreed that we would recommend Le Bistrot De Louis to anyone who said they were going to Saint-Maxime. If we ever are back, we would not hesitate to go there again.

Went back to this little gem last month with my boyfriend once again the food and service was excellent! Love all the new touches of the place. Best cocktail in town!!! ‍

Popped into St Maxime for the day and by chance came across this restaurant. Food and service simply amazing. So lucky we stumbled across this place an absolute hidden gem. If you are looking for something off the tourist track I’d thoroughly recommend this restaurant. All of the staff were so enthusiastic about the restaurant and food and they weren’t wrong. 5 stars all day long.

What a fabulous restaurant . Delicious food and extremely attentive service and a great atmosphere too . We really enjoyed the menu surprise !

It's been 3 times in 1 week that we ate in this restaurant and it's absolutely delicious. I think we've tasted all the entries and a lot of dishes (we've made a big table) and every time exceptional. Thank you for feeding us so well during our holidays. A top team!
