Bistrot Le Sud - Sainte-Maxime

This restaurant is the quintessential experience for Provence and southern FranceA small place right off the water just outside town.

Really nice little brasserie in a great location. Lovely food and cocktails. Service was great and our waiter really looked after us. Good prices too and didnt have to wait for a table unlike some of the other very busy sea front restaurants.

One of our regular haunts when in Ste Maxime. Had a lovely meal sitting out on this quiet back street. Lovely Moules! Staff were really helpful and friendly.

Nice location thats all. No croissant, dry bread, ok it was after 11am, but selling a plate of 3 fruits for EUR 8 is a rip off. Service nice and friendly.

Please don't spend your money here! There are so many good places and this one is just terrible. The pictures you see on there insta but also in the reviews here are not correct. The food is horrible. We ordered breakfast here. Bad coffee, old hard bread, the fruit was some brown banana pieces on the side and a bad croissant (how is that even possible in french) and she forgot the pancakes. So she brought them carrying them in her bare hand! Also not the nice pancake plates you see in the pictures. Overall not good! Go down to the boulevard there are some great breakfast places there.
