You receive your plates with vapors coming out of them and the view is wonderful, the aromes are delicious and the flavours confirming all this. One of the best Italian restaurants I have eaten at in Quebec Provence and other cities in different countries.
We got lost in construction and detoured off into Sainte-Eustache. We barely speak French and, even with GPS, could not get back to main highway. Decided to eat nearby and get back on the road. Found this amazing place on Trip Advisor. Would not have gone except for reading the other reviews. This, by far, is the most amazing Italian food and best service I've had in many, many years of travelling. We had our young son with us. The restaurant is on a service road adjacent to highway and sandwiched between a corner store/7-11/depannieur and a Tim Horton's. The waiters and waitresses attempted to help us with the menu in English as best as they could. The manager, Daniel, spoke excellent English. Not only did he translate the menu and give us directions back to the highway, he made a special plate just for our son. The food was incredible with the last bite of chicken just as hot as the first (and I'm a slow eater). The pasta and sauces were not overdone with spices. All of the seasoning were fresh and added in savory proportion. The hot bread was light and fluffy. The escargot appetizer was the most incredible I've had. We were certainly surprised by this unassuming little gem right off the highway. The price was so low, we thought they had made an error! The table d'hote pricing was fabulous. Appetizer, entrée, dessert, coffee/tea and a bottle of wine for between $30-40 depending on the entrée chosen. Even with addition of food for our son, the bill was less than $90 CAD. A fantastic meal, wonderful service and great directions. We will have to "be lost" in Sainte-Eustache next year on our trip. Daniel said the construction will still be there too :)
I love the convivial and urban ambiance. Family owned. Best food all around. Prices are very good! I recommend to anyone coming to the area.
We came across this little place by accident. As a drive by stop we were not expecting much. Located in a strip mall on Hemond st (runs along the 640 autoroute) the outside of the restaurant is very non descript. However, inside it is nicely decorated and seats approx. 70 or so. The layout is smart in that they have a wall that separates a small bar area (where you can also eat) with the main dining on the other side. There is a limited menu but they have a very interesting Table D'hote deal for 2.An entre with a main meal with desert and coffee AND a bottle of wine for two people for $70. And on Tuesdays and Wednesdays that price drops to $49 for 2.You simply can't beat that.I had the seafood linguini and it was loaded with shrimp, petoncle and clams. Very tasty. But the big winner is their Bavette. It is the best Bavette I have tasted and if you are a fan of Bavette then this is a must. The dessert selection is nice and just big enough to give you the sweet kick you are looking for.You can't beat the value for the price.Definitely worth the visit and I will be returning.
