Additionally, activities that are typically included at other sugar shacks, such as car rides or feeding animals, were offered at an extra cost of $6.00 per person for just an 8-minute drive. Overall, this was a terrible and disappointing experience at a sugar shack. I would not recommend going there, as it seems like the owners are trying to take advantage of customers, especially in the aftermath of a pandemic.
My wife and I were invited to a suspended high table dinner last weekend at Chalet des Erables in Sainte-Anne-Des-Plaines. The dinner consisted of three courses: soup, salad, and the main course. The soup was a delicious mixed sweet soup. The salad was a mixed salad with a stuffed tomato and balsamic reduction. The main course was chicken breast with a sweet sauce. Overall, it was a very enjoyable meal!
My wife and I ordered the Cabane à Sucre house meal package with the hope of supporting a local business and experiencing the traditional cabane home feel, especially since everything is shut down due to COVID. We were excited about our meal, but unfortunately, it never arrived. Despite being told it would be delivered between 8:00 and 8:30, nothing showed up even five hours later. We were left waiting until 2:00 to eat breakfast. Our attempts to contact the restaurant were fruitless as we were only directed to a voicemail. This was a frustrating experience, and we were extremely disappointed with the lack of customer service. We had to reach out to Visa to request a refund. Overall, I do not recommend buying anything or dining at this restaurant. #chalet_des_erables
Eating was good, not excellent. but I don't think we're going to this place for excellent eating. that was a LONG time that I didn't visit a cabal a sucre and I didn't remember how much people there are. we were going. at the first 9h30 meal and I think it was an excellent idea. not too many people as we arrived. but later, waoh! crazy as it was packed by men! Outdoor activities are very fun for the children. they loved it. but they don't see what we, adult, see. first, management people, please tell their people to smile at the tor of any outdoor activities to give information with a good customer service, oh my! look at their face, no smile, it doesn't matter to them or you beat them. no. they are simply not interested and they have no training of customer relationships, I think. at the billetterie nice people and excellent organization. Oh, last thing. please put them straw or something on the water and the mud. Many thanks, my children spent a wonderful time, and that counts at the end.
On March 24th my family and I were supposed to join a group activity at Chalet des Erables organized by my workplace. The tickets were purchased in advance, and I had to pick up our tickets at the ticket office. The on-site coordinator had a...list of our names. Unfortunately, the day before the event, one of my kids spiked a fever, so I called Chalet des Erables, explained that I have a paid group ticket and asked if I could reschedule our visit. I talked to Laurie (my apologies if the spelling is not correct) and she told me that there is no issue and she gave me the new date and time. Two weeks after, we finally arrived at the place, one-hour driving, mind you. The cashier lady was not able to find our tickets, but she found our reservation that was unpaid I have told her all that I have mentioned above. The cashier replied that she doesn't have our tickets and asked me to leave the ticket window, which I refused to do. A minute after I've got a call to my cellphone from the other cashier, sitting two meters on the left of the first one. The other cashier was not much helpful but told me at the end that somebody is coming to see me. The hilarious part was that the first cashier was trying to push me aside from her window through the window opening. After a couple of minutes arrived a guy whose name is Tony Lauren (my apologies if the spelling is not correct). He was able to find the list with my name on, but refused to give us our ticket because it is impossible for him to verify if I attended the actual event two weeks ago or not The fact that I've called and spoken to one of their representatives could not be verified either because they have 10 (ten) of them and it is impossible for them to verify if I made the call indeed The fact that my visit actually was rescheduled in their system and we indeed had a reservation on the day we came was dropped. I'm wondering how the place is capable of dealing with tax authorities if they are not able to track their records. We didn't want to disappoint our kids, so we decided to spend some time in the Attractions park there. Here some observations: 1) We bought tickets and some toys, we paid cash, and nobody bothered to give us receipts. The toys were of the cheapest quality. 2) One of the rods on the airplane merry-go-round was not working properly, but when I mentioned it to the guy that was operating it, I was replied: So what do you want me to do about that I'm not surprised that Chalet des Erables has one of the lowest ratings on the Sugar shacks list.
