Bennie's Red Barn - Saint Simons Island

For us a beautiful rustic location inside was a great atmosphere to eat. We had shrimps and the seafood combo, although I traded my oysters for shrimp/scallops. Simple, tasteful bread on everything that did not overwhelm the food. The food was hot and plentiful. I made a killing on the yeast rolls that they serve and paid the price by being too full, too fast. I was looking forward to the chocolate of theby pecan pie, but they were out. They had Pecan Pier and it was very good. I was so full that I needed the carriage to take me home!

Large home cooked south kitchen with a very rustic atmosphere. Excellent service. It really brings you back many decades, which is very nice changes in today's time. On Sunday they have a wonderful buffet with so many things to choose, and also hand carved and served Prime Rib at the end. Whether you are visiting St. Simons or a local, I would highly recommend seeing this a must and experiencing location. You won't regret it.

We enjoyed our time in Bennie's Red Barn. The food was delicious and our service was fabulous. Our waitress was tops! She was very efficient and friendly. We also had one of the men come and sing for us! He's so friendly and has a nice voice! We always love coming here. It's a great family square!

The atmosphere was great. Super busy. Unfortunately we waited for an hour to sit and then confirm another 25 minutes for a waitress. The food was about 45 minutes later. The food came in large portions, but it lacks taste. Big money for what feels like a factory restaurant

Experience from the waiter/waitress/manager were all unacceptable. Had an issue where the bill did not add up to the subtotal, we pointed it out and it came out to be the modifiers to the meals that were the difference however they got the modifiers wrong on the bills, it was terrible experience and no apology from the Manager and she didn't come out until the very end to explain what happened..then tried to offer us $2 in cash to try to make us happy... just terrible and highly do not recommend ?
