My wait is finally over to try La Bonne, and my goodness why (!) did I wait so long!? Walking up to the quaint shop I could hear the live music inside and
I wish I worked closer! The limited hours and dining experience are not perfect, but I do love that the menu changes and there are glass coke bottles.
On the positive side, I love authentic delicious Greek food. I also loved that you can bring your own wine here. We went to dinner later, at 7:30pm, so we avoided a long wait for a table. When we walked by earlier, at 5pm, there was a line queueing to the sidewalk. The location is good too, within walking distance of many hotels. A walk after dinner is always welcome.Over-all I found this restaurant to over-salt their meats and potatoes/rice. I would not go back for this reason. It is nice when a meal is served with some room for salting by patrons. My friend did like the shrimp brochette. The Calamari was just slightly over-cooked and needs a sauce to accompany it. The service was good until it was time to pay. Then, we had to wait in a long queue again.
If you like the cafeteria style restaurant this one's for you. Busy, cramped, loud. The food itself is not bad but nothing to die over and the presentation is so boring; you get a plate of rice with some pieces of meat and potatoes over it and then let's splash some salad on the side! I felt sorry for the staff who constantly had to squeeze by and deliver plates over everybody's head!
