The restaurant was full and waited around 10 minutes to get a table. Food was reasonably price and various meal deals on offer (13 euros for main meal, drink and desert). Food was fine - it's a burger and steak house. it's not an upmarket steak house nor trying to be. We enjoyed our steak & fries and kids enjoyed their burgers. House wine was also very good value. Only negative was service was a bit slow (we ordered more drinks which arrived after we finished our main meal). Overall, positive experience and very short walk back to our hotel.
We visited this steak house around 7pm as being the closest to the hotel Kyriad. Although my wife is disabled we were made to stand waiting for 10 minutes because they had minimal staff available to show us to a table. When we were seated the tables were so crammed together it was difficult to find a place for my wife's walker. Service was slow and eventually when our food arrived my steak ordered as rare was on the raw side of blue and so chewy I could have used it as carpet underlay!! They seem to believe if they stack the Frites high enough they are offering good value??. Nobody asked us if the meal was alright and despite complaining all we received was the bill and no apology. I would avoid this restaurant like the plague.
We've eaten at other Buffalo Grills many times and usually the food does what it says on the tin. This time the food was not nice. Cold when it arrived at table & poor quality meat. The only redeeming feature was the pleasant & smiley waitress who served us.
I've often seen Buffalo Grills around France and avoided them like the plague. My worst nightmare are themed chain restaurants. However.. We found ourselves in a hotel in St. Quentin arriving quite late in the evening and a Buffalo grill was just a couple of hundred metres away. No queues and tables to spare. We had to move from the first table due to some loud mouthed bellowing English bloke in the next booth drowning out all other sound.Next table was well away and pleasantly quiet.I must tell you that right now I give ten out of ten to Buffalo grill for noise control. Families with little children have their own area well away from old codegers like me. And if you do have children, the family area is full of things for them to do. Excellent.Food. It's a Buffalo Grill. They sell meat. The steak was a bit of a workout for the jaw but very tasty with it. Salad and bread starter (free) went down a treat. In my nightmares I'd always thought that BG would be impersonal and characterless. In reality it was all very pleasant. Good atmosphere, attentive and helpful staff, all very enjoyableThe meal, with wine and other drinks, was moderately priced. All round, a good experience and not at all what I expected. I might even try a Wimpey one of these days.
We ate here on a Sunday evening and fortunately arrived early as, within a short time, the restaurant was not only full but there was a long queue outside. The service was slow and the restaurant seemed understaffed. The food - typical steakhouse, burgers etc. - was average. It is convenient for travellers staying in the nearby Kyriad hotel but I would not go out of my way to eat there again.
