Oyster - SAINT PETERSBURG

The appetizers were especially pimento cheese hush puppies. in all brunch plates. garnel and grumen came out with overcooked and dry grums. steak and eggs were not so great for the price. eggs were not cooked well. overall would not go back for brunch. I'd go for a drink for a starter because that's where they're glowing. again, just disappointed.

The host/manager was very friendly, but our server was new and appeared to keep having issues with the handheld. We were the first to arrive for brunch, but it took quite a long time for our food to arrive. My friend had ordered the steak and eggs with hollandaise. The eggs had congealed and the steak was overcooked. We realized the server never asked how we wanted it cooked, so that issue was on us. Again everyone was super friendly, but we were surprised at the food quality and time it took because we were literally one of just a few tables at 11am.

Everything was great! Everyone should go at least once!!

We chose outdoor seating. We waited 57 minutes for a drink. The food took even longer, and getting napkins and silverware even longer than that. The Gulf oysters were a joke; I would have been embarrassed to serve them. They were so skimpy, and were served swimming in a bed of melting ice. Our entrées, fish tacos and prime rib sandwich, were cold, lacked flavor, and was mostly bread. The fries were lukewarm but were salty enough to choke a deer. We ordered the prime rib medium rare- we received a few shredded, unseasoned, pieces of overcooked beef product on a dry bun. The accouterment was a few ice cold straw onion rings. The fish tacos consisted of red fish ? , pickled onions and radishes. Totally lacking in flavor, the most prominent taste was the flour tortilla. We had to ask for a refill of our water, 90 minutes into our dining experience. The only thing passable were the cocktails; my friend ordered a house special and I had a made from scratch **** Mary. Neither of us finished our $10 drinks, they were that good . Overall, this dining experience was a total flop. Although the people watching experience was fun, never again would I choose to eat here. The service was slow, the food less than mediocre, and the cocktails failed to distract us from both. I would not recommend.

The oysters and catch of the day were fabulous. My only complaint is that all the decent scotch was out of stock and the fish tacos were just average
