Chile Verde - SAINT PETERSBURG

Pretty hit or miss. I usually go to the one on 22nd ave because the food is much more consistent. Unfortunately this Chile Verde, either the food is too salty or bland. This location is also more expensive compared to the 22nd ave location. I'mguessing since they're closer to the retired beach community, they have to add that tax to the food. I wouldn't mine the extracost if the food was more consistent. I've ordered lunch from this location 3 times, and you would think that would have beenenough chances for them to improve.

Great food and authentic. Service is good just run thin. Just don?t expect a huge welcoming hello and you?ll be fine. The place could be a hot local spot if they only added one more server and a kitchen helper. We go for the food.

If this was based solely on food, it would be a one star review, however the service was good. But the food?why? All I have to say is we didn?t make it past the queso because it tasted like it came out of a can and then had about 3 gallons of water addedto it, served with stale chips. Go anywhere else for Mexican, seriously, save yourself the heartache.

California burrito! It was pretty big! We like coming here because their service is always good and their food is delicious. It's one of the few Mexican restaurants in the area where the people who are serving you are Mexican or Hispanic. So...thatshould tip you off on what I'm trying to say here!

All meats were dry and not very flavorful. Guacamole needed salt. Chips just plain not good. It was clean which was one of the few pluses. Decent prices. We won?t be back.
