The Salt Cellar - Saint Paul

Went on a Thursday night for dinner. Wasn't too crowded at all. We had excellent service. Food was overall good. Our waitress was great about adjusting some of our drinks to fit our preferences.

We haven't been here yet, but we're going back. that was eating so well. actually asked my man to speak with the cook, and he came out and shared so much interesting information about how the food was chosen and prepared. He's passionate about what he's doing. it is also cool that you can watch the kitchen through a glass partition from inside and outside on the street (big glass window). we had a wonderful evening. (and save space for dessert- we tried both pavlowa and boston cream pie and they were fantastic)

This was our first visit to the Salt Cellar. The food and service were great. We arrived early and had a drink at the bar first, which was nice. We very much enjoyed eating here and would go here again!

I had a great experience. I will definitely be back!

This was our third meal at the Salt Cellar for a family birthday celebration. Our sons request it because they love Caesar salad and their table side Caesar is delicious. Overall, the food is very good. The table side steak for two is a great value. It 's served with a delicious sauce and two side dishes. My issue with the restaurant is the wait staff. This is a higher priced steak and seafood restaurant and the staff does not reflect that. Our server was friendly but unprofessional. When she asked us if we 'd been there before and we said yes, her response was good, that makes my job easier! She seemed unsure of herself and in need of further training. On our previous visit our waiter, who had recently moved here, talked about himself the entire time and how he wasn 't sure he liked Minnesota. I would also like to see the person who does the table side prep come from the kitchen in an apron and not the hostess stand! We really like the food, but please work with your staff!
