When we were kids, it was Barb, Jo Roy, who always made us feel like we were sitting at our own family kitchen table. Now Jay Jay is absolutely fantastic! He went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of, even creating a dish for my daughter that wasn't on the menu. We laughed, felt at home, and enjoyed the amazing food, as always. Keys never fails to impress and always brings our family together. I hope that in 15-20 years, my children's friends or even their own children will have the same loving memories that we do.
Eating at Keys Cafe feels like dining at your best friend's house. The cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and large portions of delicious comfort food create a satisfying dining experience. I have been visiting various Keys Cafes in town for years and have never been disappointed. The original restaurant exudes a special charm with its brick walls and intimate dining room. The addition of Plexiglas dividers has made conversations easier and more private, which is appreciated in the lively atmosphere. Upon the recommendation of my waitress, I tried the Cajun Skillet, a flavorful dish with hashbrowns, green pepper, onions, mushrooms, spicy Andouille sausage, scrambled eggs, and Hollandaise sauce. It left me feeling content and satisfied. My daughter enjoyed the classic eggs "Benny" with a side of fruit, served with a touch of humor by our waitress. The omelettes are also generously sized and wonderfully tasty. The menu at Keys Cafe is a must-try for anyone looking for delicious food without any frills but with ample portions. I'm already craving another visit just thinking about it. This is the place to go if you want top-notch comfort food in a welcoming setting.
I met a friend for brunch at this restaurant. The ambiance is ideal for catching up over coffee and eggs. The wait staff is attentive and the prices for the food are reasonable.
My family has been going to Keys restaurant, specifically the original location, for about 30 years. They have never let us down. When we were kids, Barb, Jo, and Roy would always greet us warmly, making us feel like we were dining at a family kitchen table. Now, Jay Jay is truly amazing! He remembered serving us at another location, and when my daughter requested an item from that menu, he went out of his way to make it special for her, even though it wasn't on the menu at the original location! We had a great time and shared some laughs.
Nostalgia always takes over when we make our yearly trip to the original Keys Cafe on Raymond Avenue in the Midway area. The coffee is tasty, the service is prompt, and the restaurant is clean (despite being well-loved). The sweet potato fries were delicious, but the salmon sandwich was only okay and the hamburger was just average. The food here is less flavorful compared to the other two Keys Cafe locations where we have dined.
