Handsome Hog - Saint Paul

If you haven't visited Handsome Hog yet, you must go! We have passed by so many times, thinking we should give it a try. Finally, tonight was the night for our date night! Tyler was our waiter and he was fantastic! He made excellent recommendations and provided detailed information about the menu. Our drinks were tasty, the food was served promptly, and most importantly, it was delicious! We will definitely be returning soon!

Handsome Hog has an amazing brunch menu! Everything we ordered was delicious with well balanced flavors. My friend had their Handsome Hog Hot Brown which was absolutely fantastic! The house ham was juicy and incredibly tender, the pecan bacon had aperfect balance of pecan and bacon flavor, the mornay sauce was rich and creamy, marinated tomatoes came on the side along witha cup of mixed greens, and the Gouda and the sunny side egg crowned the open faced dish with the egg having the most perfect runI've ever seen. I had the BBQ chopped salad which was exactly what I was looking for in a salad. Of course I ordered their BaconOld Fashioned with a fancy ice cube that had a hog image in it and my friend ordered their **** Mary which came with a properbeer chaser which was again perfect; not too spicy, but definitely not mild. And the final drink that we ordered was a pineappledrink that was just as refreshing as it looked. Our server Amanda was excellent we never felt rushed, overlooked, nor was sheoverly attentive. Handsome Hog is a favorite brunch spot and I can't wait until they open their patio... it's one of the best intown! Five stars for their amazingly delicious food and five stars for our server Amanda.

The atmosphere and service at this restaurant were excellent! Our server Michael was fantastic and provided great recommendations for food options, including the delicious cinnamon roll. My husband enjoyed the savory and smoky Hot Brown, while I loved the Crab Cake Benedict. The crab cake was full of crab with minimal filler, and the greens and pickled onions were a nice touch. The only downside was the heavy use of Old Bay seasoning in the Benedict. We will definitely be returning for lunch or dinner, and we will request to be seated in Michael's section again!

This place was absolutely amazing! I had the brisket hash. The flavors meshed so well. It had a slight kick but just warm not hot at all. I do wish the potatoes were cooked just a hair more. The chicken and waffles were cooked perfectly and tender. Theflavor for the breading was delicious. Staff was friendly and kept the water full.

This was our second time being told we needed reservations for the patio. We went for brunch and were not disappointed with the Benedict dishes. I had the rib meat version, which had a nice spice to it, while my son had the crab cake version. Both options were excellent and came with a tasty mixed green salad. My husband enjoyed the chicken and waffles, noting that the chicken was very good and crispy.
