It is seriously delicious! I wished I had toast to mop up the extra sauce at the end, because lifting my bowl and drinking it like the milk leftover after a bowl a cereal would probably have been frowned upon. I seriously consider forgoing all proper decorum and drinking that garlicky, spicy goodness. It was sooooo incredible. I did scoop up little bits of sauce in empty clam shells. That seemed more acceptable and less “uncouth”. I loved everything about this place. The atmosphere, the decor, the food, the drinks (I had the “Crazy Legs” , and the staff was friendly and patient while we all had the hardest time picking because everything sounded SO GOOD! If you get a chance to go to Grand Catch, you should. It’s all around A+!
Finally the twin cities has southern style seafood boils actually worth writing about. Great flavors and prices with actual hot spices, none of that Midwest “spicy”. Crawfish in awesome sauce, enough said.
Best seafood boil I’ve had in MN. King crab was amazing. Heat levels run hot, so ease yourself into it your first visit. Chicken sandwich is fantastic too. Scene is casual and fun and for those with tastebuds, food is craveworthy...
Wasn’t what I expected, it was even better then I expected! The service was great, the food was great and the setting was spectacular.
Fun spot with fresh seafood, inventive cocktails, and a pretty creative, worldly menu. Lots of different flavors to explore here, including their take on Old Bay, the New Bae! Service was very prompt and attentive. Unfortunately I think the desire to stretch into new flavor territory wasn't always successful. The papaya and mango salad was spicy and unexpected, and very flavorful, and the grits were excellent. The fish and chips were very fresh, although the chips were oddly sliced red potatoes. Where things fell down for me was the lobster roll, which I take as the gold standard of a seafood joint. The salad in the roll was very heavy on the mayo, and had a strong flavor of what seemed like pickle relish, which completely overpowered the flavor of the lobster. Maybe I'm too much of a purist, but this sandwich missed the mark for me. Will be back to try out the seafood boil, though!
