I ordered the steak dinner for lunch today. the website says they can choose between reis and cousin, but the online order didn't let me choose. After I gave up my order, I tried to call the cousin instead of tear. I called about 10 times before someone finally answered. I understand they're busy, but a business has to answer her phone. She said that was in order, but when I was there, she said that they were out of cousins so I could go. I can't eat much rice (or very little), but I took it anyway. it was all rice and very little meat at all. what was really good. the rice, the paprika and the wobbles were all very tasty. it was just so little of meat. I was still hungry! the lady who replied to the call and gave me my food was very nice. I'll go back, there are others I want to try. as if I said what I got was very good. I don't order that ding again and hopefully they will have cousins!
Was a quick dinner before my layer, but it must have been some delays, waited like 20 minutes and was admitted to a little upset bc now I had no time to actually eat my food before I had to go, but without even telling me everything they were very apologetic and gave me the half of my order. I could eat a part of my meal before my layer and it was very fresh and tasty. great customer service! I understand that sometimes things happen, but not every restaurant would be so generous about it so that I was very satisfied.
I was looking for a different restaurant when an amazing smell full of spices distracted me. I’m so glad it did, because this place is amazing! Marinated chicken over rice with yogurt sauce and allll the vegetables, sweet potato fries, and sweet spiced Somali tea and I am the happiest punctuation mark in the world. Both the fries and the chicken and rice were enough for leftovers and the tea (full of anise and cardamom warmed me right up on this gray and rainy evening. Highly recommend if you’re in downtown St. Paul.
I’m eating the yassa chicken right now and it is quite literally the best food I’ve had in my life.
