La Source - Saint-Nicolas-la-Chapelle

A little hotel, basic room, tasty dinner, average breakfast, very friendly staff. Good value for your money. I had B&B and dinner.

We ate here twice in summer and sat outside on the lovely terrace, where water jugs fill up from the spring that gives the Restaurant its name. The menu is outstanding value at 24.50 and the food is quite sophisticated but still traditional a great combination and not so easy to find in the Alps where the traditional food can be pretty stodgy (although you won't walk away from la Source feeling hungry! . Charming service, run by people who care.

Warm welcome, and excellent cuisine (saumon prepared house with pineapple chutney and dauphinois gratin) bravo.

We arrived almost by chance at the source. the atmosphere is friendly, family and dynamic. We discovered the berthoud (traditional savoyard dish based on fondu abundance cheese) served with potatoes, salad and charcuterie.The welcome is very pleasant.
