Nice venue, the food was quite good overall (home made fries were very tasty) but we were disappointed on the meat when served (paleron instead of entrecôte) and the burger was just ok without being particularly good. For the price asked you could get something better. Nice staff though.
We went there last week for a Family meal. The four of us tried a variety from the menu, three of us being real meat eaters and one less. The bavette were served cut but this really showed that the cooking method, on open air grill had respected our choices of red meat to perfection. Tasty, juicy, first choice meat (the owner and founder has a renowned butcher shop downtown). A selection of greens, a bit of vinaigretted salad and fresh home style cut fries or a gratin dauphinois to die for. The creme fraiche and potatoes are blended into a gratin that is tasty, literally melts in your mouth and is a first rate side dish. The Cesar Salad, although medium-sized, was very authentic, with none of the industrial short cuts for a salad with that name elsewhere. We chose a pessac-leognan by the glass which was excellent and not overwhelming with just a bit of steak. Finally all desserts are locally prepared and finish off, if not originally, very sweet indeed. We recommend whole-heartedly.
