La Poutre - Saint-Médard-de-Mussidan

We went there for Sunday lunch. Excellent 4-course menu with a lot of different options. Every dish had a special and unexpected twist. We'd definitely come back.

Run by Englishman Steve, this small restaurant offers great cuisine especially on Sunday lunch. Check opening times but if you want French or other cuisine, this place fits the bill at a good price and quality

Suberb service and friendly and helpful in all circumstances they helped me in with my wheelchair and moved bits around to accomodate it

We went for the quiz night, and that was great but the food was awful! The main course was Greek Lamb with rice and chips, it was insipid and badly cooked, it could have come out of a tin! The apple tart was still frozen! It was a charity quiz night with food and all money raised was for a good cause but seriously if I was the chef I would be ashamed to serve food like that. Won 't be eating there again ever!

We have eaten here many times. We frequently have Sunday lunch there. It is one of the few places in Dordogne where it is possible to enjoy a traditional Sunday lunch.A three course lunch with wine included for €18.50 is very good value. I rate this restaurant highly.
