Compa's Mexican Grill Cantina

Great prices but the portions are way to big. I'd pay the same price for a smaller Burrito Jalisco than I received, it was good but hard to eat and only could finish half of it. Service was pretty decent, we will return.

Not busy when I came in but they lost my order in kitchen. No updates were given. When I flagged the waitress down that was reason given 50 minutes after ordering. Spent 2 hours here total. We always get a military discount but this was all the waitress offered. A manager should have explained before we checked into it. I have sent information to restaurant. If they make this right by offering a redo will update the review to reflect outcome. We have come here for years. However there is 2 new Mexican restaurants in town. We may have to move on to better service.

Everything about this place was on point. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The portions were more than enough. The staff was amazing. Our server was so great with the kids. On our way out the door one of my littles spilled an entire glass of pop. I was so frustrated. She didn't miss a beat. She came right over with napkins. When I apologized, her response was it's not a big deal. These things happen. She helped clean up the mess with a smile. I wish I knew here name she was so awesome!! Thank you for your service. It's always nice to encounter people who actually enjoy there job.

I regret having to write this review. I arrived just 10 minutes before closing and politely asked the front staff if it was still possible to place an order. He confirmed that it was fine. I quickly ordered a shrimp quesadilla with spinach, onions, and mushrooms. The order was prepared quickly, but when I checked it before leaving, it only contained shrimp and cheese. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, he went to the back and returned to inform me that the toppings would be given on the side. I requested that the toppings be added to the quesadilla instead, but he told me they couldn't do that since the kitchen was closed. There’s a lot more to say about my interaction with the front staff, but overall, I believe customers deserve better treatment. If orders can't be taken after a certain time, it should be communicated clearly. Messing up an order and then being unable to fix it is very disappointing. I was dissatisfied with the service, especially as it was my first experience with this restaurant. I won’t be returning.

I wish I knew the name of the gentleman who welcomed us at the door, as he provided exceptional service throughout our visit. He ensured that our tea cups were always full and that we were enjoying ourselves. Quick and efficient, he even added a touch of flirtation to the experience. We were very pleased with our meals, so much so that we couldn't finish them. I took a chance and ordered the tamales, and having enjoyed handmade tamales from Mexico before, I can say Compa's tamales were 100% authentic. I was pleasantly surprised, considering we ordered from the lunch menu, that the portions felt more like dinner-sized servings. In short, we will definitely be returning!
