Red Oak Biscuits - Saint Louis

The strawberry shortcake biscuit is so good! It's the perfect amount of sweetness. There is actually taste instead of overgrown. My husband was disappointed by the amount of egg and bacon on his sandwich. It wasn't enough, but it didn't taste bad. I'd come back.

I wouldn't give stars, but that's not an option. That was the second time we tried to get here. The first time we left was the weekend of 4/27, we had family when visiting Houston. So we all went down with our 8 month old and we came and they were closed (hours said they were open until 2:00, it was just after noon. Today we decided my wife, our now nearly 9 months old son and I would try again. We arrive at 12:30 and go to order our food, the lady at the counter takes our order and while we get a togo order to get her food, one of the staff who hears her food from my wife about her they say we don't have cookies, but here's your order, you can wait another 30 minutes for some. I didn't hear that, so I thought my wife was wrong because if they were out, why would they let us order cookies? Then about 5 minutes later, we listen to the employees who told the To-Go order they were from cookies, they started screaming like the lady who was there to get the To-Go was rude and she began to call someone while she screams from behind the bar. Anyway, we drink our drinks and enjoy time with our son and finally about 15 minutes after our order, someone, I suppose, manager, comes to tell us that they were actually from cookies and we could wait 30 minutes while they do more or they could reimburse us. Apparently we took the refund, we had enough time to go with our son to eat for about an hour and half between foot and food before he had to nap again, waiting that long would have pushed it really close. I do not think we will try this institution again, as this is now two very disappointing experiences. Thanks for reading.

The staff is friendly. I ordered the Lit Biscuit, but there was hardly any chicken on my cookie. My friend has the strawberry and goat cheese biscuit. You could hardly say that there were goat cheese on the cookie. It would have been delicious if there were enough ingredients on the cookies. I didn't pay $28 for anything. Two cookies and two lattes.

This place was great! First, the cookie was OUTSTANDING, so I'm coming back alone. But also the place was small, cute and played great chill music. Overall it had a great atmosphere. The 2 servers were really nice, welcoming and helpful. They even gave me some great places to look for apartments. Also. How sweet the bathroom was! It was a great place to relax and think so I will definitely visit this facility!

The strawberry jam is amazing!! It isn't sickly sweet. It compliments the slightly sweet biscuits perfectly. The BBQ chicken biscuit is yummy, too. The bowl of gravy with biscuits and sausage was a bit different than what we Texans expected but it was yummy. Great local eatery!
