Billy's Seafood Company - Saint John

In our last night in Saint John we were hunting for a fish restaurant and then came to Billy Seafood Restaurant!!! From the moment we arrive from Sara, it was a wonderful experience. The oysters were amazing like the crab cakes. Then, the main course is Cajun Seafood Stew was from this world, it was so full of seafood food I couldn't finish the entire dish. The fish and chips looked amazing and how it disappeared I am sure it was. The waitress Sara was fantastic and so welcoming. Thank you for a great experience.

We came from Ontario on the way to PEI. We have not made reservations, but they have made room for us. Emily and Mike were great. “Em was our waitress and Mike talked to us with all his knowledge of the area. We had oysters, chowders, crabcakes and lobster roll. It was delicious! Service was incredible and personable, food was delicious and portions were generous. Great meal in downtown saint John's.

I had the salmon BLT and it was AMAZING. I never thought to have bacon with salmon, what a great mix. My lunch bear got the cedar plank salmon, and yes, the salmon was served on a piping hot cedar plank. It was delicious. She said her beets were perfect, not too vinegary and the perfect tenderness. That was first experience with Billy's and I'll be DEFINITELY back. Friendly atmosphere, and Sarah our hostess was only phenomenal. You will pick up during phase 3 of the pandemic!!

We arrived at Saint John, N.B. almost at 4:00 and visited the market. The restaurant is on the market with another entrance on the side street. We had checked this restaurant before and read reviews. I wanted to try the Digby scallops! Went in and were approached by the server gnädig, which does not confirm reservations. We said we were from Ontario and were excited to taste their menu and had read so much about the food. Don't say, she asked if we were comfortable in one of the high tables. Of course we were!!! She has a sign of Reserved in one of them and we returned at 6:00. We showed proof of vaccination as required. I ordered scallops and seafood cahowder. Hubby ordered the $40 lobster roll. That was the moment I realized the scalops I had eaten before they were fake. That was from this world. The service was also amazing!!! Absolutely loved eating and service. We only found the parts quite small for the price, but we would do it again!!
