You don't expect much atmosphere on a quiet and wet mid-week lunchtime in February, so after exchanging some brief pleasantries with the barman we weren't disappointed at being left to our own devices. The 'café' in the name is rather misleading; it's really a bar. Choice of both beers and food is limited. No regional beers, and the paninis were ok as paninis go, but presented in rather rubbery bread. Having said all that, on a wet lunchtime in February the place was at least open, which is more than we could say for most of the eateries in town!
In the advert for this bar it lists sandwiches as being on offer. When we called there today at 1pm we were told most emphatically "No sandwiches"!
Try restaurant L’Oasis by the old bridge, it’s by a car park and the bridge but at least you have a warm welcome whilst you eat tasty snack food.
