Barbera Pasta E Vino - Saint James

Ok so first I did not want to write this review because this little jewel of a restaurant SO SO SO AMAZING I fear I will not get a reservation in the future! But then I thought about how sweet the owners were, I just wanted to write my thoughts. We had two appetizers, Burrata and Gnocchi. Both were excellent. I am Italian and usually NOT like gnocchi from restaurants, but that was absolutely delicious. For dinner we did the Fusili with eggplants and a baked lamb scarf with fresh green. Both were perfectly cooked. To dessert we had two paprika, the Ricotta cheesecake and Barbara's chocolate mousse cake. I was just as happy with the desserts and dinner! The owners are a sweet couple... the man cooks and Barbara the woman was prompt, funny, charming. She made us “dip” bread into the gnocchi sauce before she would take away the dish. If you want a fantastic really Italian meal, this is the place. Plan to spend a few hours because it is a very relaxed atmosphere, no one is rushed. In fact, we were at the table all night and were so happy!

Delicious meals and the owners are the sweetest people.
