The multi-level seating area among the trees with the patio lights was lovely. It's casual and cozy. We will return in the winter to use the igloo-style outdoor seating.
Wanted to leave as soon as we sat down. Should have. Dirty, flies buzzing around, no decor. Washroom needed cleaning. Food was terrible. Old lettuce in the salad. Waitress was nice.
The food was absolutely delicious. The restaurant is surprisingly small, which is nice if you are looking for an intimate experience. They also have domes outside if you are looking for an airier meal.We were seated quickly and our server brought us some water and returned to take our order. The food came quickly. Sadly, we were left with no salt/pepper, napkins, or utensils. When we called another server over, she looked irritated. There were two servers attending to four tables, so it wasn 't busy. After we requested the items we were missing, we enjoyed our meal, but were not directly approached by our server during the meal to ask if we needed anything; the other server did briefly stand in the middle of the restaurant and called out, Does anyone need anything? and turned around and left before anyone could respond. Not the most personal of service. The server who took our order didn 't return to the table until I went to the washroom. My friend paid for her meal, and then he left the debit machine on the table with my total on the screen. I paid and we packed up to leave. Our server walked right past us and didn 't say thank you nor did he say goodbye.Something I noticed when coming out of the washroom is that the door to the washroom almost opens into the food window where the servers are picking up the food. The washroom is located only steps from the closest table and the door is open into the restaurant, which is pretty gross.Restaurants should pay their servers a living wage. Tipping culture is getting out of hand, when 18 -25 percent tip request is what pops up first before having the opportunity to select a custom . I left a tip of 10 , which was still generous considering the server dropped off the food and we never saw them again. While I would recommend this restaurant for the amazing food, I hope if you visit your service experience is better than ours was.We paid just over $30 each for our meal and a non-alcoholic drink, and that amount was very fair for the quality of the food.
After a 120 km car ride from Toronto you 'll find this tiny pitoresque village where you also can see Mennonites (the parents of the Amish riding along in their horse-drawn buggies. The Village Biergarten in the village 's commercial center is a cosy and welcoming pub with great outside seating and some delightful food accompanying the craft beer selection. We enjoyed a crafted light lager and an alcohol free pale ale. Food choices were a Mese plate with Pita bread, humus, falaffel, olives and pickled onions as well as a meaty flatbread with Chirizo, red onions and red peppers. Whenever you have the chance to come here, enjoy this place, the food and drinks as we did. Fully recommend a visit to this village and the Biergarten!!!
It was a great evening with superb customer service — went with my partner to spend quality time ordered their Mezze Platter — it was so delicious and mouth watering! Will surely comeback and would definitely recommend! Lastly, the ingredients of falafel was cherry on the cake! Keep up the good work?
