Fat Boy's Kitchen, pure Hong Kong style cuisine, the waiters are very friendly and worth recommending, but unfortunately the business hours are Mon-Fri 9am-6pm,Sat and Sun 9am-3pm Evening break.
It was a bit expensive when compared to other HK cafes. The food was good though.
Location is kind of inconvenience if you don't drive, although the parking is quite easy.Food quality is OK since my order is overcook even it's not busy!Tesla owner will think convenience as plenty of charger is right at front of store!
The taste is pretty good. But the menu really need some updates. Vancouver food is very competitive, the chef should try to come up something new so that guests will not get used to the same taste and stop coming. I’m excited to see the chef create some new stuff! Maybe some slight healthier food and etc. More choice will bring more guest variety and expand the audience group and thus make more money!The space is cozy. Always have to wait these days. Which is good because it’s popular The seating r limited. Can’t argue because I can tell the owner tried and did made some changes over the time so the seating is better than before. Thank you for that!The service here is weird. The restaurant is tiny and the seating are limited, the menu is simple. So I think it shouldn’t be that difficult to serve. But the staff here, they always tend to give wrong orders. The waitresses look busy but you just don’t know what they are busy at. They tend to mix up orders. They don’t offer things you actually need, you need to ask them several times and double confirm and now I think triple confirm. After awhile I feel they are not very focused on the job but maybe on guest or whatever is in their mind My advice is to focus your mind in serving food and drinks right, make sure at least the cutlets are right, make sure containers are right before they put attention on some other things Advice to the owner: get waitresses with more experience, they may not try to act cute or talk cute, but they do make sure the restaurant is functioning with efficiency and clients’ needs are fulfilled. They won’t need customer to ask for containers several times because they know exactly how many containers are needed, even better than customers. this is a small thing, but very basic. You get this kind of great service everywhere at restaurants with experienced staff After all, this is a restaurant which needs high efficiency and accuracy. People who eat here normally has been waiting for a while, it is really unpleasant to get orders mixed up, and waitresses try to act sweet with male guests, but make mistakes and need to apologize back and forth. It makes guests feel very extra, weird and uncomfortable. It’s obvious that the restaurant could have less staff, but better trained ones who actually knows how to make orders right, all customers feel welcomed and not being extra and disturbing.Most guests who come here, are waiting in line, because we love the TASTE. I don’t think people are coming back here for the service provided over the years. The chef is great making food taste so great. Clients don’t have much patience for unpleasant service after a long wait. It’s sad to see the chefs great food paired with poor service.I’ve been a guests here several years now. Looking forward to see some new items, more professional and helpful staff in the future.
