Przekaż informację zwrotnąWhen I decided to visit Lac St-Jean, especially since I would be staying in the small village of St-Gédéon, I never expected to dine at an authentic Mexican restaurant. The owners of the hostel I was staying at recommended I give it a try, promising that the food was absolutely delicious. The restaurant was bustling on a Monday evening, a good sign in my book. I ended up sitting at the bar so I could watch the kitchen in action. Everything was fresh and the portions were generous. While it wasn't the most affordable meal, the flavors were worth it. Plus, they offered complimentary nachos with three different salsas when you ordered something. The drinks were a tad pricey, but I couldn't resist a bottle of Chouape white beer for $9. For tasty Mexican dishes, Taco y Salsa is the place to visit!
This restaurant offers a wide variety of Mexican dishes that go beyond the typical Tex-Mex cuisine that most Americans are familiar with. The first thing that may seem strange to visitors is the building itself, which has three garage doors. Despite this unusual exterior, once inside, the atmosphere, music, and cuisine transport diners to a small restaurant in Mexico. The restaurant is always crowded, so be prepared to wait for a table. The service can be chaotic and disorganized, with waitstaff having varying levels of knowledge about the menu. The food, however, is delicious and authentic, with dishes like ceviche, pork tacos, and tostadas. Prices are reasonable, with a meal and beer costing around $26. Overall, this is a great spot for Mexican food, as long as you are not in a rush and can overlook the service shortcomings. Enjoy your meal! - Martin
Summer has arrived in Lac St-Jean St-Gedeon, and Taco y Salsa is now open on the Blueberry Cycle Route. This restaurant is one-of-a-kind in the area, run by the delightful couple Annie and Francois. Make sure to stop by, you won't be disappointed.
Probably the worst tacos I've ever had._The decor is stimulating and the service friendly and quick, but the food is basic, and not in a good way.
