Joe Smoked Meat

I have visited this restaurant a few times since I live nearby. The service has always been excellent, and the food is good.

The resto is nice, the service is fast and friendly and the food is good. I've certainly had better. I had the combo, which is a sandwich, fries, quarter slice dill pickle and cole slaw. Everything was tasty. I would have liked a larger sandwich option in a combo, but the next step up was just a lot of meat with 4 slices of bread. Fries etc. were all extra, which would have doubled the price of what I had (the price was reasonable however). Dunn's is as good or better. Delly Boys (now closed unfortunately) was better. The best is still Schwartz's.

We went there as a family and shared the club sandwich for two for $18.50. The portions were large with plenty of fries. However, the waitress offered us spicy mayonnaise without mentioning that it was an extra charge, which was unacceptable. But overall, it was a nice meal on a sunny day.

I had the smoked meat (of course). It was very good, but perhaps a bit too much fat for my taste. You can however choose leaner meat if you'd like. The service was great. I'll certainly eat there again.
