L'Opera - Saint-Fargeau

We ate here before we see the show in the lock. it was busy and we hadn't booked, but they said we could eat inside. it was awfully hot without real ventilation open except a dach window. the menu of the day was limited. we had to start the flat-star and all had an annoyed the next day. the most important courses were all one-pot from one or another form. well cooked, but not particularly exciting. the waitress was exceptional and very jolly and hard working. the next day on the market in torcy the next day she was delivered with flyers! beautiful wein recommendation and good worth. would have been nicer to sit outside. we had to cut off our dinner when we were so hot. not her fault, but the visit corrupted.

Unplanned and un reviewed we found this place next to the chateau, unfortunately with no internet signal to assess the Tripadvisor ratings. The decor is vibrant and enticing. The small upstairs space is very genial, c=downstairs I believe is a place for entertainment big and...light. The food was well below average and overpriced. We cancelled desert and coffee. Some more French rehired by myself to comprehend the French reviews but Im told by a reliable source (a local French person) it is well rated at number 4 in this town. In fact I think its better to dive on if this is the only place you can get a table. If you love good decor, and are not fussed about below average food, this is the place for you.

Very disappointing. location is so wonderful (before the lock,) but quality is not here. the errors really vary, from bad service to cold pommes. they can come there and have average meal but try another place (mezilles if they have a beautiful one. space for example)

Right opposite the entrance to the chateau. good selection menu, charming waiter, tasty eating. a great place for a snack or eat or just watch the world with an apperative

We arrived for lunch , the first at noon , leaving the castle on this Sunday of August . we took the menu at 28 €, everything was delicious (staff tartar, kidneys, 7-hour , raspberry pie-pistache ) but waiting very long : 2 h for lunch , it must be said that when we are - finally - gone , the restaurant was well filled ...
