One of us wanted no side dish, but the waiter insisted it was included. We decided to go with the Caesar salad and ended up being charged for it. It seems like the waiter should have clarified that the Caesar salad was a separate meal from the burger. We feel a bit deceived and may reconsider returning to this restaurant, despite being from the area. We are now unsure why we tipped 18%.
First off this place as no english menu... so close to montreal and no english menu at such a big restaurant???? Second the music is done by a bad dj who also works the marche au puces during the day, food is bland and as no taste and no seasoning. The decoration is what you call the summit of “quetaine”... so bad. Run away!! Bad bad bad
My family and friends group of 30 went to this restaurant to celebrate two birthdays and a retirement. They offered a special group menu with 5 or 6 main courses. I tried the roast beef au jus, which was excellent, and my wife had the ribs. There was a live Mexican band that went table to table singing happy birthday. The food and service were good, and the prices were reasonable. The only downside was the noise from another large group dining at the same time. Overall, it was an enjoyable evening.
I brought my wife to supper here on a Friday night. Online reservations were not available so she called and managed to get a table for 2. It was easy to see why when we arrived. The place was very busy. We were placed near the door and saw several groups beng turned back, I'm guessing they didn't have reservations. My wife had the rib steak, rare, and it was cooked to perfection. Her baked potato was good, the vegetables excellent, though she thought there was a little too much garlic in the Caesar salad that was served before her steak. I tried the Mathers ribs and they were quite good. Anytime you can eat prok ribs without having to use your fingers, it is good thing. My baked potato was a little undercooked but it was a bigger potato than my wife's so that was fine. The singer was excellent and sang a variety of songs and according to my wife, he sang in English, Spanish and Italian. Being located pretty much right next to the stage, we can tell you that he was taking requests in French so he is quite multi-lingual. Througout the meal, and despite how busy the restaurant was, service was prompt, courteous and efficient. The staff are well trained and whenever a utensil was heard being dropped on the floor a staff member quickly went to pick it up (and I assume replace). With all of that being said, the decor is very out-dated. Our table was located right next to a life-sized, mounted, stuffed bison, bear and a coyote with teeth showing that looked like it wanted a piece of my wife's steak. Various animal's heads were mounted all over the walls. The menu is not very friendly for vegetarians, but even if it were, I don't think they would feel comfortable with all the heads looking down at them. We were in Texas last year and restaurants there no longer have this type of decor. Time to freshen up the decor.
This is a nice affordable restaurant for a group. Thye have a large menu .The prime rib is particularly good but all steaks are also good
