This place is your classic Iowa Main Street bar and grill when it comes to atmosphere, but the food is fantastic. You should definitely try the battered fish or shrimp—the recipe has remained the same for over 30 years, and I’ve heard they’re hoping to sell it in stores this fall. I recommend trying it out before you can buy it; you’ll be hooked! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

I stopped for lunch while traveling and found the experience a bit unusual. There were two doors to enter the restaurant, but the more inviting one was closed, so we ended up using an old, worn-out door on our way out. The place had a divey vibe, which we were fine with, and the burgers were fresh and tasty. However, there was an issue with the pricing; the bill didn’t match what was listed on the menu. While the menu stated that the burger came with fries, we were charged separately for them. Additionally, there was an unexpected card use fee that wasn't mentioned anywhere. Our server was friendly but seemed confused when we questioned the bill. I really dislike feeling like I've been taken advantage of, so unfortunately, I think I’ll pass on this place next time I'm in the area.

The restaurant offers a nice and quiet environment, creating a wonderful atmosphere complemented by pleasant company. I would rate the food a perfect 5, the service also a 5, and the overall atmosphere a 5 as well.

The owners and patrons of this restaurant are incredibly friendly! I was visiting from Kansas City, and they graciously allowed me to watch the Chiefs' AFC Championship Game while I was there. The bar has a lovely ambiance, and the atmosphere is delightful! P.S. You absolutely have to try the Carnivore Pizza—it's definitely the best choice!
