Stay in the hotel and restaurant for one night. because the title unexpected quality and my st pierre (john dory) was very good. beautiful wine list and service.
If they happen by chance on the way to bretagne (mont st. michel) and they pass through fecamp and the neighboring st. leonard, it is worth stopping a night in the auberge de la rouge on the route du havre. the hotel is sufficient and all comfort is there, but expect nothing funny. the price is also very reasonable. the largest surprise is their restaurant serving high quality French food. when we were there, we enjoyed a beautiful escape of foie gras with apple. delicious! then the main course is always fresh and perfect. I will certainly return to this unpredictable and nice restaurant.
Was in Fecamp (best attraction is the road leading out), and got a recommendation for the Auberge. Looks a bit frightful from outside. A large parking is next, and crossing the entrance leads to an attractive garden. The Auberge was renovated and is more up to expectations inside. Choice of food all right, wine list less. Orders placed, a good rillette, olives, gazpacho and industrial rolls without butter were brought. Home made pastrami with salad and smoked foie gras convinced partially; the foie gras not really well as it lacked umami. Scallops quite good but not perfect. Rognons de veau a welcome change to standard menu items. Ris de veau breaded, quite a queer idea. In total like a cru bourgeois, partially above average. 3.25 points fair. This is listed as the Michelin's favourite in the area, I really wonder when it was visited last, and how the other restaurants must be.
Diner in love disappointing in the air of wanting to make original and creative cuisine, you find yourself in the plate with disappointing things and misunderstood sometimes excessively peppery preventing me from finishing I think that with better technical mastery and willingness to do well and this creative spirit, this restaurant can progress
