From the moment I walked in, the warm ambiance and the tantalizing aroma of Korean spices promised an authentic culinary experience, and I was not disappointed.
A dog friendly patio?! Sign me up! We came when the weather was nicer. The patio was smartly set up so that there are only two columns of tables which makes it a little easier to keep your dog out of the path of other patrons and servers. We made a reservation for right when it opened at 11:30am so it was empty and we had a choice of seating. The patio has pergolas that are decorated with wisteria-like artificial flowers which help with shade and make a nice backdrop for photos. They have a bunch of Instagrammable spots including a flower sign that faces inwards towards the patio and one with a little stepped area. The service was really good. The servers were attentive and eager to say hi to our pup. They were able to make some recommendations for dishes based on our party size, since it was difficult to tell form the menu what the portions would be like. The portions are conservative but the food was good. It is a little pricier but we did order the wagyu set. It's definitely a really great atmosphere with tasty food but more of a special occasion kind of place rather than my go-to.
I like that there's indoor and outdoor space for barbecuing. We chose to sit on the patio. Each picnic table on the patio has its own grill. Dogs are allowed on the patio, and we saw a few while we were there. The exterior has been decorated really well, with flower walls and plenty of places to take photos. The menu is accessible via a QR code, and like many Korean restaurants, there's a bell on the table if you require service and don't see a server nearby. This is a premium Korean BBQ restaurant, so there's cuts of meat here (like A5 Japanese wagyu beef and steak) that I don't see at other restaurants. The BBQ platters are on the pricey side. An option would be to order from the BBQ menu (minimum 2 orders) instead of going with a platter. The service was exceptional. Since we'd never dined here before, our server explained how it worked, including the option of not ordering set platters, checking to see if our grill needed to be changed (it did), and making sure our water carafe was always filled.
We are visiting from California and from my first phone call , John provided me with one of the best phone call reservations .John , Tyler and staff were very friendly. The restaurant was beautiful , and The food was delicious with great flavor. I would definitely recommend coming here . highly recommended)
Great service. Nice ambiance. Food is quite good. Ordered: 1. Gochu wings: yummy. Glad it's not spicy. Flavorful sauce yet not overpowering. 2. Wagyu dumpling: wow..huge size. Glad i didnt order 2 servings. 3. Wagyu croquette: quite good. It matches well with the takoyaki sauce. 4. Japchae: i had better. 5. Soon dofu soup: my husband's version is better. 6. Bulgogi rice: not bad. 7. Shrimp tempura: nth special except that it's big size. I was worried because there are many not-so-good comment on google recent reviews. But the food is better than what I thought it'd be. Overall, highly recommended. Service is top notch!
