The food on the other hand though was less impressive, I would give it one star . Just very bland and average at best. And the kids meals were ridiculous. A four inch long grilled strip of chicken with a small bag of potato chips was $8, and didn't taste good at all, and the kids grilled cheese was horrible, my daughter couldn't even eat it, so I tried it and it was beyond ****, so bland and tasteless, and again $8. We're a family of six so just the kids dinner alone was $32 for **** food. I probably won't go back.
Great spot for lunch. The smoked salmon tacos were tasty and they easily switched the side to coleslaw. Can't beat the view from the deck.
A great place to kayak to for dinner on the bay. Super staff that care deeply about their customers. Wonderful food made to order.
Sagle, Idaho: Great place to take you boat for lunch. Bottle Bay itself is a protected inlet off Lake Pend Oreille. One summer we rented a house on Bottle Bay and would drive our boat accross to the Marina to gas-up (on a daily basis) .... great outdoor dining and they BBQ a bunch of entrees... it's just the perfect place to visit while on vacation
We love taking a boat trip over to the Bottle Bay Resort restaurant for a sunny lunch, but this year we faced two terrible visits. During our first visit, we were informed that they were without a proper chef for a few weeks and had a severely limited menu. Limited was an understatement; they offered only two sandwiches and a hot dog! To make matters worse, both of my guests ordered the sandwiches, and I opted for the hot dog. I find it shocking that a place could mess up such a simple order, but they managed it. The hot dog, priced at $6.95, had to be something special, right? Wrong. It turned out to be the tiniest hot dog one could buy at a grocery store—wilted and shriveled. And if that wasn’t bad enough, the bun was stale and difficult to bite into. It's unbelievable that any respectable establishment would serve such a product. The sandwiches were simple and could easily have been made better at home, yet they charged $11.95! When the bill arrived, I was appalled to see they had the audacity to charge me $8.95 for the subpar hot dog. I informed the waiter about these issues, even referencing their own menu prices, and decided right then that I wouldn’t return. Unfortunately, a few weeks later, with more guests in tow, we gave it another try, hoping a new chef had arrived and the quality would return to what we once enjoyed—good burgers and more varied dishes. But alas, that was not the case. The menu was pitiful, the burgers were terrible, and the service was slow and lackluster. Once again, I received a sandwich with stale bread, which I returned to the counter, requesting fresh bread. This is Sagle, not Siberia—why not just get some fresh bread? It's hard to believe anyone thinks it's acceptable to serve stale food, and I'm not usually picky; my wife often tells me I keep food around too long. So if I say something is stale, it really is! To top it all off, the prices were outrageous, making us eager to leave without returning for the rest of the summer. I doubt this place will make it onto our list for future summers either. So consider this a warning: if you’re in search of even a hint of quality food, don’t go to the Bottle Bay Marina, because you won’t find it. Outrageous prices combined with terrible food and mediocre service—does that sound appealing? I genuinely hope they do some serious soul-searching in the off-season and improve their operations. I don't want to see them struggle, but a place like this depends on repeat customers, and at the pace they’re going, they'll only attract one-time visitors!
