At first, I had no intention to use a pizza restaurant for my event, but Stephanie was very knowledgeable about her place and explained, as well as, shared pics of past events UPK has hosted. Their patio can be transformed into a magical place and the adjoining room has windows that open wide so people on the patio can easily visit with those in the room. The food was excellent, and expertly displayed. My only complaint about the food is that out of the five savory dishes I ordered, which were delicious, only two of them were plentiful enough for the 30 or so guest that were present, the BBQ Brisket Sliders and the Antipasti we're enough for seconds and thirds. The crab cakes, chicken skewers, and Mac n cheese fritters all were gone within minutes of serving and unfortunately everyone did not have a taste despite my ordering double for all food. For the price, I do wish the portions were more. The white wine choice, CMS, was a hit with my guests. Anywho, I would definitely recommend UPK for your next venue. The staff is so friendly and they try very hard to please their clients.
We just had the best pizza in ages, here at Uptown Pizza Kitchen, on Del Paso Blvd., next to what used to be Enotria and is now Woodlake Tavern. Their mushroom pizza is otherworldly in flavor, like nothing I've ever had, and the Angry Hawaiian was the best take on that classic ever. Perfect crust too, and also had a perfect Ceasar salad. Used a Groupon but will be back to gladly pay full price. MUST TRY!
Had the Cesar salad funghi pizza and we loved it and it’s freshness. Garlic knots was ok we love our garlic and just wasn’t garlicky enough. Overall great place for the family and love that they have some classic board games and good specials.
Good pizza and cold beer. Happy hour is a great deal.
A real gem in this off-the-beaten-path area of Sacramento. We came into the area on a spur-of-the-moment impulse and purchased tickets to a local play; this place popped up on a list of recommendations for dinner before the show, and we were both in the mood for pizza! We presume that we were greeted by the owner upon walking in; he was one of the friendliest gentlemen we have ever had the pleasure of interacting with! Additionally, the gal bussing the tables and ringing up my partner as he ordered was exceptionally sweet! We loved the food and the amazing pizza; can only complain that there weren't more garlic knots served on a plate (they come in threes and are absolutely mouth-watering! . We will return, again and again and again and again...!
